The Attorney General's Role In Assisting You With Your Consumer Needs
The Attorney General of the State of Alaska has the authority to investigate business and trade practices and takes legal action on behalf of the State of Alaska, in order to stop unfair, false, misleading or deceptive acts and practices. We concentrate our investigative activities on those complaints that indicate a pattern of unfairness or deception substantially affecting the public interest.
The Attorney General's Office encourages you to send us information on our consumer complaint form about unfair or deceptive business practices because it helps us identify areas of concern and enforcement. This information will be entered into our database for future reference in the event that additional complaints are received indicating a pattern or practice of deceptive conduct.
