Assistant Attorney General
Office of Special Prosecutions - Full-Time; Anchorage Office
The Office of Special Prosecutions is recruiting to fill an Assistant Attorney General vacancy. This position is located in Anchorage; however it will assist rural district attorney offices statewide by filling in when an office is short staffed or when an office needs assistance on high-profile or complex cases. This position is also meant to provide advice, mentor newer attorneys, conduct training, and work on other projects as needed. Other assignments may include, but are not limited to conducting reviews of officer involved shooting cases or responding to requests for immunity.
Prior prosecution experience is required for this position, along with familiarity of Alaska’s criminal justice system. Extensive trial experience and a history of handling complex criminal prosecutions are required. Travel throughout the state will be required.

State attorneys are in the partially-exempt service and serve at-will at the pleasure of the Attorney General.
