Anchorage Woman Indicted for Murder

December 12, 2013

On December 12, 2013, 27-year-old Bonnie Degenstein was indicted for the murder of 24-year-old Ryan Tamborrino on December 6, 2013. The indictment was returned following an investigation by the Anchorage Police Department. Tamborrino was discovered after Degenstein called 911 to report that she shot him in the head.

The grand jury indicted Jones on murder in the second degree. If convicted, Degenstein faces a sentence of up to 99 years in prison and a fine of up to $500,000.

The indictment is only a charge and is not evidence of guilt. A defendant is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial at which the government must prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.

Jones will be arraigned on the indictment in Anchorage Superior Court on Monday, December 16, 2013.
