"The department's ability to prosecute crimes and represent the state's legal interests depends upon a solid administrative and fiscal foundation," said Colberg. Prior to that she served as the State Comptroller for the State of Alaska, Department of Revenue, Treasury Division from February 1995 to August 2005. Martin replaces Kathryn Daughhetee who retired as the director of administrative services in January 2007 after serving in the Department for 10 years.

"I am very grateful to Ms. Daughhetee that she extended her retirement date to ensure a smooth transition for Ms. Martin to assume her new position within the administrative services division," said Colberg.

Daughhetee, also a CPA, was hired by the Alaska Legislature's Division of Legislative Audit. In 1993 she became a budget analyst with the Alaska Legislature.
