October 14, 2016

(Anchorage, AK) – On October 13, 2016, an Anchorage jury found 25 year old Darin Cleveland guilty of sexually assaulting a woman on Halloween in 2014.

On November 1, 2014, a woman called the Anchorage Police Department to report that she had been sexually assaulted earlier in the morning. Anchorage Police Detective Jade Baker led the investigation. Cleveland, born in Kotzebue but living in Anchorage in 2014, was convicted by the jury of sexual assault in the second degree, a class B felony. Assistant District Attorney Michael Ebell prosecuted Cleveland in the eight day trial.
